Also known as Eco-Tourism Village, the Gardens of Malasag, 12 kilometers from Cagayan de Oro, were conceived by the Philippine Department of Tourism. Inspired notably by the Gardens of Grenada in Spain and the Bouchart Gardens of Canada, these gardens aim to present the cultures of tribes of north Mindanao in a natural environment, while protecting the animal and plant life. The site is in a wooded area of 7.2 hectares offering impressive views of the bay of Macajalar.
