Isla Reta is a small beach resort in garden city of Samal. We took a 40-minute board ride from a port near Magsaysay Park at 50.00 each. The entrance fee is only 50.00 each for the whole day stay. There are no cottages here and if there are, its better not to rent one. Just get a table and bring your picnic blankets and dine below the trees. You can bring our own food and snacks, its allowed. Isla Reta has no high-class restaurants, hotel rooms or cottages. Its was just really a simple white beachfront. But they cook the best tasting native chicken tinola. It feels relaxing sleeping under the trees after lunch, watching the beach front and the tranquility of water. Read the rest of this entry »

Canibad Beach Resort (at Aundanao, Samal Island) is located at the other side of Samal Island facing Davao Oriental a 20km drive from Babak proper. Another place to relax and unwind at Samal Island.
Canibad is actually a sea by the foot of the mountains. So when you get there, you will see the vastness of the sea on top of a hill while coconut trees and mountains greet you welcome to Canibad!
